Sponsorship Activation at Marines Game!
On July 20, 2026, Kanda University of International Studies (KUIS) set up a booth at the Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks game held at ZOZO Marine Stadium.

This initiative, titled the “KUIS Fan Engagement Project,” is a hands-on project in which students take responsibility for every stage of the process, from planning and production to promotion and event-day operations.
Since the project kicked off in April, students have been developing and preparing the project around the theme: “How can we showcase what makes KUIS special to as many people as possible?”
On the day of the event, many visitors, particularly families, stopped by the booth. Approximately 1,000 people took part in the activities, making the event a great success.
Activities on the Day
1. Multilingual Face Stickers & Photo Spot
We created original face stickers inspired by KUIS’s eight language majors: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Thai. Students assisted visitors throughout the process, from selecting their stickers to applying them. This gave visitors an opportunity to experience firsthand the friendliness and communication skills of KUIS students—one of the university’s greatest strengths.
We also set up a photo spot in front of a banner featuring the logos of the Chiba Lotte Marines and KUIS, where international staff members helped visitors take photos. Through the excitement of sports, visitors were able to experience the appeal of multilingualism and multiculturalism.

2. KUIS Struck-Out Challenge
We held a struck-out challenge featuring “KUIS,” the university’s commonly used nickname. Participants who achieved a perfect score received an autographed baseball or card, while those who successfully knocked down all four corner panels spelling out “K-U-I-S” received a cooling towel.

3. Open Campus Collaboration
We invited 25 high school students who had participated in the special lecture “Turn Your Passion into a Career! Sports × Foreign Languages,” held at our Open Campus on July 12, to attend the game free of charge. In addition, five of the students were offered a special batting experience at the team’s indoor practice facility.
By connecting the excitement of learning at university with a special sports experience, we aimed to deepen the students’ interest in KUIS and provide them with an opportunity to consider KUIS as a future university of choice.

4. Original Uchiwa Fans Giveaways
We distributed approximately 15,000 original uchiwa fans to game attendees. The front features a stylish, predominantly black design centered on the players, creating a fan-friendly keepsake that attendees would want to take home.
The back features a colorful and playful design in which the team mascot introduces key features of KUIS, including its No. 3 national ranking for educational fulfillment in the “THE Japan University Rankings 2025,” its 11 departments and majors, and the new Faculty of Global Management scheduled to open in 2028.

5. Digital Advertising Behind Home Plate
During the game, we displayed a digital advertisement behind home plate featuring the message:
“A Foreign Language University in Makuhari, the Home of the Marines! Kanda University of International Studies.”
The advertisement was designed to raise awareness that KUIS is located in the Makuhari area of Chiba, addressing the common misconception that the university is located in Kanda, Tokyo, based on its name.
